Perfect Gifts For A Travel Lover

The time is here for the search for the perfect holiday gifts for your loved ones. Odds are that one of those is probably a travel lover. (I mean seriously, what person in their right mind doesn’t like traveling?) This year has been especially hard on them with all the lock downs and travel restrictions. They’ve probably had to cancel a trip or two. But change is coming, hopefully within the next year, so give them hope by showering them gifts that inspire their next trip!

Away-Luggage.jpg

Every traveler needs good luggage, and I’ve loved Away luggage ever since I got one of their very first versions of the carry on suitcase. They’re sturdy, stylish, and have a lifetime warrantee that is amazing.

tile-combo-pack.jpg

For the person who might have the habit of losing things, Tile helps keep track of their luggage, wallet, keys, child (just kidding). Just attach these to what you want to keep track of, and use the Tile App to see where they are. You can even use the tile to find your phone buried under a pile of clothes you’re packing.

Bellroy-tech-kit.jpg

If the traveler in your life needs to stay connected as they travel, keeping their laptop and tech gear with them, the Bellroy Tech Kit is a huge help in keeping all their accessories organized, and not tangled up and lost in the dark corners of their bags

Bose-noise-cancelling-headphones.jpg

These noise cancelling headphones were a game changer for me on flights. I’m no longer nervous when I see a baby or a boisterous group of passengers on the plane. These shut out all the noise, plus have the excellent speakers that Bose is known for. They’re wireless when you don’t need to be tethered, but can still be plugged in to watch those in-flight movies.

aesop-travel-kit.jpg

The perfect luxurious little self care pack for your on-the-go traveler who wants to always appear fresh, even getting off an 11 hour flight. It includes Aesop’s signature hand wash and balm, toothpaste and mouthwash, facial hydrating spray and mask, and rosehip seed lip cream. The smell of Aesop products is divine, and you’re probably going to buy one for yourself as well.

Eddie-Bauer-MicroTherm-2-down-jacket.jpg

This is something I’m gifting myself this year. This jacket has it all - wind proof, rain proof, a -5°F temperature rating, a flattering fit, and is lightweight and packs down tiny. No more having to size up my luggage just to accommodate my bulky jackets!

LifeStraw-water-bottle.jpg

If the traveler you’re shopping for is into camping or backpacking, or going to places where the water is questionable, this could be the perfect gift for them. This filters out bacteria, protozoa, chlorine, and odors, to make water right out of a lake or stream totally drinkable.

The-Cocktail-Box-Co-kits.jpg

A much fancier version of the gift idea above, these ensure your traveler can have a proper cocktail at 30,000 ft. Each kit has everything you need for the perfect drink. Just ask the flight attendant for the little liquor bottle and cup.

Skyroam-Solis-X.jpg

Give your traveler the gift of Wifi! This little powerhouse will get you Wifi in most countries. (It even got me service on a ferry in the middle of the ocean in Thailand!) As if that wasn’t fantastic enough, this can handle 10 people logged on, acts as a power bank if your phone is running out of juice, and even has a built in camera.

Mark-and-Graham-jewelry-case.jpg

The perfect little organizer to keep their jewelry in one place, this travel jewelry case is a beautiful gift for the traveler on your list. I love that these are made even more special with the option of adding a personalized monogram.

Gorjana-compass-necklace.jpg

What would make the jewelry case even more special is to have this necklace enclosed. This gorgeous piece by Gorjana is a great every-day necklace that will go with everything, with a subtle hint at what your recipient’s passion is.

try-the-world-subscription.jpg

It’s true, it’s going to be a little while until we can visit other countries again, but this awesome subscription box service brings other countries to us! Each month they send delicacies from another country, including ingredients to cook with, drinks, and snacks. Part of the fun of travel is try all the different foods, and this is the perfect gift for the person that is missing that part of the adventure.

eBags-packing-cubes.jpg

I know I know, these are on every travel necessities list. But it’s for good reason. There is no better way to keep your luggage organized. Now if the person you’re shopping for is already an avid traveler, then they probably already have these. I couldn’t live without them. But if you have a newbie traveler planning a trip soon, this could be exactly what they need.

Anker-powercore-20100.jpg

ANKER POWERCORE 20100 PORTABLE CHARGER

When traveling, your phone tends to run out of juice fast, from all the picture tacking, to constantly looking at maps figuring out where you’re going. That’s why every traveler needs an extra little portable charger to keep their devices running. No one wants their battery to die right when they’re suppose to pull up the tickets for their reservation they’ve kept on their phone. One full charge of this bad boy will charge an iPhone almost 7 times, a Galaxy S8 5 times, and an iPad mini 4 times!

universal-travel-power-adapter.jpg

Speaking of charging devices, if the traveler on your list likes to hop around from country to country, this universal wall charger adapter is a perfect stocking stuffer! It fits the wall sockets of most countries, with surge protection, and accepts every type of plug, plus has 4 USB ports for good measure. This is so much better than having to carry around every type of adapter for every type of socket they may come across.

Kindle-Paperwhite.jpg

This may seem like overkill if you have an iPad & cell phone. But do you know what you can do with this that you can’t do with the others? Read in bright sunlight! If your traveler loves to spend their travel time laying by the pool or on a beach relaxing, give them the gift of bringing books without adding 10 pounds to their carry-on. This is also so much nicer on the eyes than other screens. Their eyes will thank you.

travel-candles.jpg

CANDLES THAT REMIND THEM OF THEIR TRAVELS

There are a couple fun lines of candles whose scents can whisk your travel lover away to other places. HOMESICK CANDLES have scents inspired by different countries, states, and cities, while HOTEL COLLECTION has scents inspired by favorite hotels, such as Hotel Costes in Paris & Wynn in Las Vegas.

Pow-Mo-Collapsible-Bluetooth-Speaker.jpg

Let your travel lover take their tunes with them. This little but mighty bluetooth speaker is great for indoor and outdoor use, is water resistant, has great sound, can stick to any metal surface, and is small enough to fit in your pocket.

Wine-wings-bottle-protector.jpg

If your travel lover has plans to go to places like Bordeaux, or Porto (like I was supposed to this year), they’re going to want to bring wine back with them. These sleeves protect the bottles they’ll be putting in their luggage, and protect the rest of the luggage in case, heaven forbid, there is any sort of leak.

Lonely-Planet-Ultimate-Travel-Book.jpg

Help your travel lover dream up their future travel plans with this gorgeous book by Lonely Planet. It’s filled with beautiful images and information about 500 of the top destinations to visit.

Lonely-Planet-coloring-book.jpg

A coloring book for adults you ask? Absolutely yes. Especially this year when people are experiencing more anxiety, coloring has actually proven to relieve stress and anxiety, and create focus, much like meditating does. So give your loved one the gift of some 2020 relief, with a travel twist.

Scratch-The-World-Travel-Map.jpg

This is one of the prettier scratch off maps that I have found. If you’re looking for a fun gift for the avid traveler, this is a lovely way for them to track all the places they’ve been. What I think I’m going to do with it is frame it, mounting it on cork board. That way I can add pins to all the specific cities I’ve been to.

In the end, if none of these gifts feel right, then get them a GIFT CARD! You can’t go wrong contributing to their next trip, and it’s more special than money, because you know it’s going toward something that they love and enjoy.

There’s a gift card for just about any airline and hotel group you can think of, but here are a few to start you off……

· Delta Airlines · Marriott Bonvoy · Mr. & Mrs. Smith Travel Club · Southwest Airlines · Kimpton Hotels · airbnb · Four Seasons · American Airlines ·
