U.S. National Parks Free Entrance Days for 2021

As Americans attempt to make some travel plans for 2021, with the uncertainty of the pandemic still lingering, I’m predicting that the majority of travel is still going to stick closer to home. And what better way to get away safely than to get out in nature, and take in the majesty of our National Parks?

The National Park Service has announced this year’s schedule for their FREE ENTRANCE DAYS, for any of those parks that normally charge an entrance fee. (Find a list of these parks HERE.)

  • January 18 - Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday

  • April 17-25 - National Park Week

  • August 4 - The 1 year anniversary of the “Great American Outdoors Act”

  • August 25 - National Park Service’s 105th Birthday

  • September 25 - National Public Lands Day

  • November 11 - Veterans Day

Of course all of our parks are spectacular year round. And if you want to avoid the crowds that these free days might inspire, a great alternative is to purchase an America the Beautiful National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Pass. For $80 this will get you and up to 3 guests into all of the national parks across the U.S. for a full year.

Most of the parks and recreation lands have opened back up, but it’s always good to check before making a visit. Fires especially have effected the accessibility of some areas. Here is a LINK to look up the parks you’re interested in visiting.
